課程概述

There will be two classes for each topic in quantitative genetics and statistical genetics: Mixed Model Equation (MME), (Co)variance component estimation, Biological seqeunce comparison, Genotype and Phenotype Association, Marker-assisted Selection, Genome Wide Scan, Metabolic Profiling, and Comparative Genomics. 

課程目標
This course includes theoretical derivation and paper discussions to provide a platform for introducing the statistical methods of genetics and genomics with the related applications to the Ph.D. students majoring in Animal Science. 
課程要求
Reading book chapters and papers related to the topics mentioned above is the major task in this course. The students have to read those articles before the classes, and construct the basic ideas of the theory and applications. There will be discussions about the theory and applications during each class.
